Ribbed Egg Basket Making with Experienced Claudia Gibson (April 7, 2025)

Claudia is a well-seasoned basket maker and her baskets are known for unique design and character.
Learn the basic techniques for making a ribbed egg basket. You will make a gods eye lashing with naturally dyed rattan, willow or grapevine for ribs and handle to give your basket a more organic feel.
You will learn basic basketry techniques and how to find and incorporate wild materials and go over some basics for natural dyeing. Basket making can be both meditative and creative. You will go home with a lovely original basket and the knowledge to continue creating your own baskets.
Fee for the workshop is $125.00 and is rain or shine. Please bring clippers with you. Space is limited so sign up early. Lunch will be provided by Pharsalia.
